How do those who have received and understood the grace of Jesus respond?
We respond by giving God proper worship, desiring to grow in our faith, and deepening our personal relationship with God. We also use our finances for the work of the gospel. This is an act of acknowledgement that everything that we have comes from God.
Additionally, God has given everyone gifts, which are unique to individuals. They are to be used for the common good and to edify the church (1 Cor. 12:4-7, 14:4-5). Through the active participation in one or more ministries you will find that God can do mighty work in, with, and through you.
Below is the list of some of the Grace Church ministries that you may want to consider being a part of:
Arts & Design
The Arts & Design Team is responsible for any creative element including videos, photos, arts and design. We design props, graphics, logos, banners and much more.
Children's Ministry
Children's Ministry tends to the spiritual needs of children below 6th grade through age-appropriate teaching and care. By showing them the importance of the Bible, and the blessings in leaning towards God, our desire is that these children will develop a genuine heart for God. Opportunities to serve are available as volunteers and teachers.
Communications
The Communications Team creates, edits, and publishes all Grace Church documents, such as packets, booklets, columns, and programs. This team also assists in moderating the flow of announcements and updates via social media outlets. We care for things such as our Grace Church website as well as our Facebook Group Page. Posting, reminding, and troubleshooting are some of the responsibilities in this team.
Events
The Events Team plans many of our church occurrences and activities. We pursue an environment where all are welcomed to celebrate God through Christ-centered fellowship.
Fellowship Prep
The Fellowship Preparation Team takes charge in preparing and serving delicious meals after worship service. We value the importance of having fellowship in breaking bread (Acts 2:42), and seek to provide whenever necessary in our Grace Church events.
Intercession
The Intercession Team is called to serve by praying and interceding for Grace Church. We pray continually over the Prayer Cards that we receive from the congregation in addition to praying for the worship service, congregation, and leaders. An intercessory prayer meeting is held every Sunday morning before service; it is open for all to come and pray.
Membership
The Membership Team focuses on taking care of the members committed to Grace Church, and we do this primarily by means of Life Groups. The purpose of a Life Group is to better know and serve one another by praying, sharing, and bearing each other's burdens. In addition to Life Groups, Membership Team facilitates Grace Church membership orientations and takes care of the membership archive.
Missions
Our Missions Team is called to bring worship beyond the doors of the local church. We obey the calling for both domestic and foreign missions – partaking in annual, short-term mission trips to proclaim the Gospel as well as sponsoring missionaries all over the world.
Sports
Our goal is to pursue Christ-centered fellowship and competition through the athletic gifts and talent God has given to us. We bond through weekly practices and we participate in annual sports tournaments. As we grow deeper in our relationship with Christ, we seek to do the same with our brothers and sisters through this ministry as well.
Welcoming & UShering
Our Welcoming Team strives to help visitors as well as new members feel comfortable and connected at Grace Church so that they may steadily become part of our family. We aim to serve them by ushering people to the seat of worship, keeping them updated on events, weekly announcements, and answering any questions they may have.
Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry prepares in prayer to become the backbone of Grace Church. Our main goal is to love and support women who seek Christ, and transform them into leaders planted in our community. Sister's prayer meetings and devotionals are some of the ways we seek spiritual growth among the women in our community.
Worship
Within the Worship Ministry, the Praise Team and Tech Team cooperate to lead the congregation into genuine worship for the Lord. Worship Ministry takes care of preparing the place of worship before service, and leads the call to worship as well as the songs and praise.
Youth Group Ministry
The Youth Group Ministry strives to shape the young minds of the youth (Grades 7-12); for them to be a refreshing source of life in their community through worship, fellowship and discipleship. We gather for youth worship services and Bible Studies. Opportunities to serve are available as volunteers and teachers.
