LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
He is seated at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy catholic* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Matthew 26:36-46 (ESV)

36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.”

37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”

39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

43 And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

44 So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again.

45 Then he came to the disciples and said to them, “Sleep and take your rest later on. See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46 Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”

2. Leaders Conference (Nov. 14th)

  • This year’s leaders conference will take place on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary. We ask you to pray for all the participants (pastors, elders, deacons, ministry leaders, Life Group leaders, and teachers) as they will be praying for next year’s vision and seeking unity and discernment at the conference. 4. Year-End Newsletter (Oct. 26th)

  • Design Team invites you to share your story and creativity through our printed Good News of Grace Year-End Newsletter (10 Year Anniversary Edition)! You may submit written testimonies, art, photography and poetry related to this year’s theme (“Like Those Before Us”) to gracenydesign@gmail.com to participate. Please contact Hanbi Ko or use the QR code to get more information. The deadline for submissions is today.

5. Holywin Festival (Oct. 31st)

  • Holywin will take place this Saturday from 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at Haeun Church. All children from toddlers to 5th grade are invited for an evening of worship with dinner, games, and candy! 6. Genesis BRF (Nov. 3rd)

  • Bible Reading Fellowship is starting Genesis on Tuesday, November 3rd. BRF is held in-person at 6:30 P.M. in the Educational Building and includes a time of fellowship dinner. 7. Membership Orientation (Nov. 8th & Nov. 15th)

  • Membership orientation will take place on November 8th and November 15th for those of you who may be interested in becoming a member of Grace Church and/or would like to learn about our mission and vision.
