LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
He is seated at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.

Luke 7:1-10 (ESV)

1 After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.

2 Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.

3 When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.

4 And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,

5 for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.”

6 And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof.

7 Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed.

8 For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”

10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.

2. Congregational Meeting (Oct. 4th)

  • We ask all active members of Grace Church to join our congregational meeting on Sunday, October 4th at 2:45 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Agenda item: Election of Elder/Deacon nominees.

3. Leaders Conference (Nov. 14th)

  • This year’s leaders conference will take place on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary. We ask you to pray for all the participants (pastors, elders, deacons, ministry leaders, Life Group leaders, and teachers) as they will be praying for next year’s vision and seeking unity and discernment at the conference. 4.  Marriage Seminar (Sep. 26th)

  • We will be hosting the second half of the marriage seminar this Saturday. It will be led by Founder & Owner of ReEnvision Michelle S. Park and Pastor Sam Park. 

5. Children’s Ministry Movie Night (Oct. 3rd)

  • Children’s Ministry will be hosting a joint elementary Movie Night with Haeun. It will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be provided along with snacks during the fellowship. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor YT at dsyt1125@gmail.com.

6. Table Tennis Tournament (Oct. 4th)

  • The Sports & Recreation ministry is hosting a Table Tennis Tournament on Sunday, October 4th at 3:45 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us for a time of friendly competition and fellowship. Whether you want to compete, spectate, or hang out, all are welcome. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
