LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
He is seated at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.

Proverbs 3:1-12 (ESV)

1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
    but let your heart keep my commandments,

2 for length of days and years of life
    and peace they will add to you.

3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
    bind them around your neck;
    write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 So you will find favor and good success
    in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths.

7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
    fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

8 It will be healing to your flesh
    and refreshment to your bones.

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
    and with the firstfruits of all your produce;

10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
    and your vats will be bursting with wine.

11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
    or be weary of his reproof,

3. Dominican Republic Missions Send-off Prayer (Aug. 12th)

  • We will have a joint send-off prayer with Haeun for DR missions this Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Please note that this meeting will replace our usual Wednesday Prayer Room gathering.

4. Congregational Meeting (Aug. 30th)

  • We ask all active members of Grace Church to join our congregational meeting on Sunday, August 30th at 3:45 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Agenda item: Selection of nomination committee.

5. Youth Group Beach Fellowship (Aug. 15th)

  • Youth Group will be having a beach fellowship this Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Robert Moses beach (Robert Moses Cswy, Babylon, NY. 11702). If you have any questions, please contact Pastor John at john.n.minami@gmail.com. 

6. Evangelism Workshop (Aug. 15th)

  • Evangelism & Outreach Ministry is hosting a workshop that will equip participants to invite non-believing friends, families, and coworkers to church. The workshop will be a series of three sessions. The first session will be held this Saturday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM in the Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions or would like to participate, please contact Chaerin Kim at chaerin.grace.kim@gmail.com.  

7. Membership Orientation (Aug. 16th & Aug. 23rd)

  • Membership orientation will take place on August 16th and August 23rd for anyone interested in becoming a member of Grace Church and/or would like to learn about our mission and vision. Sign-ups are available outside the sanctuary. If you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor Andy at andrewchung.graceny@gmail.com. 

8. Marriage Seminar (Sep. 19th & Sep. 26th)

  • We will be hosting a marriage seminar on September 19th and 26th. It will be led by Founder & Owner of ReEnvision Michelle S. Park and Pastor Sam Park. The fee is $50 per couple which can be paid via Venmo @graceny. Child care is available and dinner will be provided. Please reach out to Hana Kim at rosa.h.kim@gmail.com to sign up or for more information. Sign up will also be available outside after service.
