LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
He is seated at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy catholic* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Jonah 1:17-2:10 (ESV)

17 And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish,

2 saying,
“I called out to the Lord, out of my distress,
    and he answered me;
out of the belly of Sheol I cried,
    and you heard my voice.

3 For you cast me into the deep,
    into the heart of the seas,
    and the flood surrounded me;
all your breakers and your waves
    passed over me.

4 Then I said, ‘I am driven away
    from your sight;
yet I shall again look
    upon your holy temple.’

5 The waters closed in over me to take my life;
    the deep surrounded me;
weeds were wrapped about my head.

6 To the roots of the mountains I went down,
    to the land whose bars closed upon me forever.
Yet you brought up my life from the pit,
    O Lord my God.

7 When my life was fainting away,
    I remembered the Lord,
and my prayer came to you,
    into your holy temple.

8 Those who pay regard to vain idols
    forsake their hope of steadfast love.

9 But I with the voice of thanksgiving
    will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
    Salvation belongs to the Lord!”

10 And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.

  • Next week’s Sunday service will be at 10 A.M. in the Main Sanctuary. The Children's Ministry’s service will take place in the Fellowship Hall at 10 A.M., and Youth Group will join the adults in the Main Sanctuary. 

3. Happy Father’s Day! (Jun. 21st)

  • Let’s give a shout out to all the fathers out there! We love and thank you for your support and sacrifice. To show our appreciation, Women's Ministry will be hosting a Pop-Up Cafe for you and your families. It will take place today during lunch in Meeting Room 202 of the Educational Building. You may reach out to Zion Kim if you have any questions.

4. FLOW Staff/Volunteer Meeting (Jun. 21st)

  • There will be a FLOW All Hands meeting today after Life Group at 3:45 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Please join us if you are volunteering or if you are interested in serving. You may reach out to Pastor John at john.n.minami@gmail.com if you have any questions.

5. FLOW Send-off Service (Jun. 24th)

  • We will have our FLOW send-off service this Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Please note that this meeting will replace our usual Wednesday Prayer Room gathering.
